A quote taken directly from a poem inscribed on Wilton’s foundation stone which was laid by John Wilton’s wife Ellen in 1858, which dedicates the music hall to Apollo, the Greek god of music and poetic inspiration. It also features illustrations of Wilton’s distinctive corkscrew columns.
